Dodgers Pound Mets into Ground
Posted by Señor Met in Los Angeles Dodgers on July 9th, 2009
De Ja Vu all over again in New York as the Los Angeles Dodgers punched the New York Mets in the mouth.
A lot of runs to a little.
This is getting old real quick.
Despite losing so many games out of so many games plus 3 the Mets are miraculously still alive in the division around 5 1/2 games back. But does it really matter? Unless the Mets get healthy, start scoring runs, and the pitching stops sucking the Mets are in for a long summer hanging out with the Washington Nationals at the bottom of the division.
Oliver Perez gives us dominating 7 walk performance

Back from injury wild thing Oliver Perez pitched awful but got the win.
We still suck right now, but getting a win at least keeps us from getting swept. Not getting swept in a series basically exceeds my current expectations for the Mets.
We rarely score runs, so putting a 5 spot on the board is not something I expect to see again for awhile.
Manny Ramirez again homered off of us despite the entire stadium focused more on booing him then rooting for the Mets not to blow a lead.
22 innings without scoring a single run

This team right now is bad.
Losing 9 of 11 just shows how bad.
Did I mention, oh yes I did in the title, we haven’t scored a run in 22 innings.
Talk is Jerry Manuel might be on the hot seat. We get swept some more, and that hot seat will be on fire.
With our payroll we need to be better then this. Injuries or not, 22 innings without scoring a single run is something you might expect from Pittsburgh, Washington or Kansas City. But the New York Mets? Yea the New York Mets who are a bunch of games under .500 and there is not a lot to be hopful for.
Manny Ramirez had three runs batted in. Steroids or not, he had 3 more runs batted in then our entire team. Manny Ramirez also got ejected for arguing balls and strikes. When Manny was thrown out, the Mets fans finally found something to cheer about. Because when you lose 9 to 0 there really isn’t much else to cheer for.
22 innings. And counting.
LA Sweeps NY

Dodgers edged the Mets again last night, 2-1. The win finished off the sweep of the Mets, and that is just terrible.
They didn’t even have Manny Ramirez. No way should a Manny-less Dodger team be shelling out losses to the Mets faster then they give Hollwood Walk of Fame stars to American Idol winners.
Jose Reyes left the game early, still dealing with a calf muscle issue. Without our spark plug, our offense can’t seem to get enough players to cross home plate.
A day off Thursday before we travel to the unfriendly confines of Fenway Park. Boston should be a test for the Mets, as they start their interleague schedule. Thankfully, we got Johan Santana pitching against Boston’s Dice-K so we should be able to win the opener. But we are gonna have to get some offensive production from somewhere.
Maine Loses Lead
Posted by Señor Met in Los Angeles Dodgers on May 20th, 2009
John Maine had been coming on over his last four starts, with three wins. Looked good for another Maine win, but it unraveled in the 6th as he let up an untimely home run.
Dodgers beat the Mets 5-3. Hope we can bounce back on Thursday and get a win, because we need to know we can beat one of the National League’s best teams.
Jose Reyes returns but Carlos Delgado will be out for just over two months. Delgado will be missed for his power. And it sure as Hell isn’t like we got power hitting first basemen waiting in the wings.
Let’s Go Mets. Send those drunk, unfriendly fans at Dodger Stadium home unhappy next time.
Play Some Fucking Defense

5 ERRORS in 1 Game
wtf is up with that? Can we field? Throw the ball?
We can’t beat the Manny-less Dodgers now in their ballpark, how in the world are we gonna beat them at Chavez Ravine in the playoffs when MannyRoid being MannyRoid is in the lineup.
We need Jose Reyes back. He does spark our offense. We have scored only two runs total in the past two games. We need Jose Reyes back.
I hate losing in extra innings.
PLEASE: Get to the ballpark early tomorrow and take an extra long session of fielding drills, throwing drills, and while your at it hitting drills.

LA Dodgers yesterday set a major league record for the longest home winning streak to open a season.
LA Dodgers today found out Manny Ramirez is suspended for 50 games for using performance enhancing drugs.
LA Dodgers forever will have this record tainted by a cheater.
