1. what does Bobby V bring to the table for the Marlins; does he have some inside info on the Mets?

2. Is David Wright back to being the best 3rd baseman in baseball?

3. Why is Jimmy Rollins getting 2x as many All Star votes as Jose Reyes?

Ladson: 1. Bobby V should help the Marlins when it comes to their focus, and just playing baseball the right way. Inside info in baseball is useless with the amount of scouting that is done, and the fact that everybody is gone from the Bobby V days, on the Mets

Ladson: 2. D-Wright was never the best 3rd baseman in baseball. Maybe the best 3rd baseman, that was healthy at a certain point. The best 3rd baseman (maybe ever after all is said and done) is A-Rod. BUT, there isn’t a 3rd baseman that I would take ahead of D-Wright. No baggage & always healthy. The two things that he needs to figure out: how to get a hit in a big spot (I can’t remember one big hit in his career) & he’s the worst gold glove 3rd baseman I have seen. Sometimes getting the ball to 1st is an adventure. Sometimes I expect too much out of him. He plays to his max ability

metsmets: no b/c of steroids. he can only be a cheat

Ladson: I don’t know who did steroids and who didn’t. I was watching Johan this weekend, thinking he did them in 04

metsmets: Dave Right says johan’s our weak link. i dunno, why cant dickey teach’em the knuckler

Ladson: johan needs some 2-4 weeks off.

The Jimmy Rollins question is like the A-Rod statement. I can’t question the fact Rollins has 2 times the votes Reyes does because Reyes missed a year and a half, and Rollins has 3 gold glove, an MVP & a World Championship. Reyes needs to get one of those before we worry about All-Star votes.
