Mets Organization Surveys Fans for Opinions Logo – Team Colors – CitiField
Posted by Señor Met in CitiFans, CitiField, New York Mets on May 17th, 2009
The Mets didn’t show up for their final game in San Francisco, despite the fact they were on National TV.
And the San Francisco finally beat the Mets 2-0.
More interesting then Mike Pelfrey’s three balks was the fact the Mets Organization has sent out uniform surveys to Mets fans asking about all sorts of cool things.
Mets Police is reporting that a survey has been sent to some Mets fans:
- Should the team keep their black uniform jerseys.
- Should they wear the white pinstripes more often for home games
- Should the Mets try white jerseys with an interlocking “NY”
- Should the Mets try blue jersey with an interlocking “NY”
- Name of Bridge at CitiField
- Questions about the Mets Baseball caps
Wanna Take the Survey? This is the Internet so anything is possible, Here’s the Mets Uniform Survey
In My Honest Opinion:
- Get Rid of the Black Uniforms. They are awful for so many reasons, most of which are mentioned in the survey.
- Wear the White Pinstripes. The Mets look great in pinstripes and they are a bit of a throwback look.
- Blue caps are the best. KISS, keep it simple stupid. That looks great. Again get rid of anything black.
- Lots of good options for the Bridge. I like that you can write in your own. I wrote in Doc Crossing.
CitiField Streaker Propels Mets to Come From Behind Victory
Posted by Señor Met in Atlanta Braves, Carlos Beltran, CitiField on May 13th, 2009
A nearly naked fan with “Lets Go Mets” streaked across the diamond and slid into 2nd base. The streaker only wore a stuffed animal that wrapped around his package like a thong, much to the pleasure of the 39,000 fans of this fan. Despite being arrested, the first CitiField Streaker sparked the Mets to come from behind late in a game for the first time this year.
Mets now own the Braves.
Carlos Beltran made lots of things happen, which he has been doing all season long.
- First CitiField Streaker is a New York Mets Fan
All Good Things Have to Come to an End

Just wish it didn’t have to happen against the Braves. 40,497 CitiFans the game would agree.
Johan Santana was brilliant, like always. No earned runs. A NL leading .78 ERA.
Unfortunately, as is the case when Johan is brilliant the Mets offense and defense are anything but. Errors and missed opportunities paved the way for Derick Lowe and Atlanta to beat the Mets 8-3.
Johan’s 13th consecutive start allowing 2 earned runs or less is only 2 behind Doc Gooden’s Mets record of 15 consecutive starts allowing 2 runs or less. Consider this record broken.
We are still in first.
3rd Time this Season Mets Fail to Sweep

The Worst Team in the Major Leagues the Joke of All Jokes the Pathetic Nationals rocked the Mets today 8-1.
Oliver Perez continues to throw junk. In 19 1/3 innings he has given up 15 walks and 23 hits. Wish I could get paid $12 million to throw meatballs.
Thank You 40,000 plus CitiFans for booing the shit out of him.
I have more faith in David Wright. But hopefully the 40,000 plus CitiFans booing the shit out of him can get him to return to his full potential. And David, I don’t mean trying to break your career best 118 strikeout mark that you set last year. Wiffing 23 times so far, in only 70 at-bats, sure seems like your primed to break your record by the all-star break.
I would think 40,000 plus CitiFans would agree on a few things.
- This team needs better starting pitching.
- This team needs better clutch hitting.
- This team needs to never lose to the Nationals.
At least the Red Sox said Fuck The Yankees this week and swept them.
