The Mets didn’t show up for their final game in San Francisco, despite the fact they were on National TV.

And the San Francisco finally beat the Mets 2-0.

More interesting then Mike Pelfrey’s three balks was the fact the Mets Organization has sent out uniform surveys to Mets fans asking about all sorts of cool things.

Mets Police is reporting that a survey has been sent to some Mets fans:

Should the team keep their black uniform jerseys.

Should they wear the white pinstripes more often for home games

Should the Mets try white jerseys with an interlocking “NY”

Should the Mets try blue jersey with an interlocking “NY”

Name of Bridge at CitiField

Questions about the Mets Baseball caps

Wanna Take the Survey? This is the Internet so anything is possible, Here’s the Mets Uniform Survey
In My Honest Opinion:

Get Rid of the Black Uniforms. They are awful for so many reasons, most of which are mentioned in the survey.

Wear the White Pinstripes. The Mets look great in pinstripes and they are a bit of a throwback look.

Blue caps are the best. KISS, keep it simple stupid. That looks great. Again get rid of anything black.

Lots of good options for the Bridge. I like that you can write in your own. I wrote in Doc Crossing.

Carlos Beltran, David Wright and Jose Reyes all told Jamie Moyer it was about time he retired. Over 46 years old, Moyer got shelled by the Big Three’s homer happy bats.

Basically, Mike Pelfrey won another game getting his usual run support.

K-Rod got his 4th save in 4 days. In those 4 days, we swept both of our rivals the Phillies and Braves.

While the Mets have 4 consecutive wins. They’re over 500 for the first time in awhile, only 1/2 game out of first place. Yes, the Mets are making things happen.

Meanwhile, Mets can sit back and watch the whirlwind that is happening all around the league: Yankees lost 5 in a row. Their Cheater, A-rod, is coming back from injury. Marlins have cooled off and are now in the middle of the pack in the NL East. Dodger fans are all fealing scammed. Boston fans are trying to tell the whole world their two recent championships aren’t totally fradulent.

Johan must be jealous, LOL.

Today Daniel Murphy stepped up and gave Pelfrey what he needed.

And we got first licks on our division rival Philadelphia Phillies.

Let’s Sweep These Cocky SOB’s and send them an early season message. Last year was a fluke and we are damn sure not letting the Phillies sneak into the playoffs again.

The New York Jets made the biggest splash of the 2009 NFL draft by trading up from pick 17 to pick 5 to get USC quarterback Mark Sanchez.

This is HUGE. Sanchez has skillz, a strong arm, big game potential, class act, intelligence, and charisma.

New York Jets Mark Sanchez

Needing a quarterback, the Jets landed the top QB in the entire draft. And they gave up so little to make it happen. They swapped first round picks, gave up the 2nd round pick, and gave the Cleveland Browns 3 defensive players. None of those 3 defensive players were going to be starters.

Meanwhile, the suddenly rebounded New York Mets pasted the hapless Washington Nationals 8-2. The Nat’s couldn’t field, couldn’t hit, and to nobody’s surprise couldn’t pitch.

Beltran had 3 hits and leads the National League in batting average. Ryan Church came alive with a few RBI’s.

And most importantly, Mike Pelfrey had an outing that will secure his spot in the rotation… for the time being.
